About

Kate

I have left Japan and oh how I miss it.  But, the initial shock of returning to the states has worn out and here I go…blogging about life in Chapel Hill.

I believe that there’s nothing better than sitting down with a glass of wine (preferably red) and either a good friend or a good book.  Because isn’t that the same thing?  I admit that I cry every time my husband and I sit down to watch Extreme Home Makeover.   Things I like include:  bookstores, Dexter, glossy magazines, getting woken up every morning by little kitty feet, the smell of a fire on a crisp autumn day, flowers for no reason, trips to the farmer’s market, laughing until my face hurts, the color blue, cherries and people who are not easily offended.

I am annoyed by tardiness, underwear that is too small, showers with low water pressure, bad cell phone manners, and forgetting where I put things.  Didn’t I leave my keys on the counter?  Where are my sunglasses?  Who stole my shoes?

You can contact me at kate at katesquests dot com if you want to know anything more.
