I have left Japan and oh how I miss it.  But, the initial shock of returning to the states has worn off and here I go…blogging about life in Chapel Hill.

I believe that there’s nothing better than sitting down with a glass of wine (preferably red) and either a good friend or a good book.  Because isn’t that the same thing? Things I enjoy include:  bookstores, Dexter, getting woken up every morning by little kitty feet (but not too early), the smell of a fire on a crisp autumn day, flowers for no reason, trips to the farmer’s market, laughing until my face hurts, cherries and people who are not easily offended.

Things I do not enjoy include tardiness, showers with low water pressure, and forgetting what I’m doing.  Why did I come into the kitchen?  I knew I got online to look up something….
